Pocket : Better Reading Experience on Browser and Mobile

I find browser bookmarking useful when I want to frequently visit a site. But quite recently I’ve deleted all my bookmarks. Regarding content reading bookmarking is not required. You can subscribe posts in any reader or if the volume of feeds are large use Yahoo Pipe to combine all feeds and burn it into one single feed. Also almost all web pages have its on social networking channel. Following these channels will give you constant updates from it on your social accounts. If you are active on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn or similar services, you can follow this method.

Earlier I was using browser bookmarking feature to access my Bank Account, Insurance Co. Account etc. easily. Frequent use make me learn these URLs. So I made good bye to bookmarking.

You may have bookmarked, followed social channels etc. of many sites. But can you read all the contents from these sites at a stretch or is it necessary? From the channels you have followed when you visit the source you may found that the content is not interesting to you. So you quit that page and go for next one. If you have enough time you can read all the interesting content at a streatch. But still you may get bored sitting in front of your PC for a long time. Any solution. Put the interesting pages in an easy to access place with one click and access it later when you are free.

At this juncture, Pocket formerly known as Read It Later is a better solution. They have mobile apps and web app. I am using the web version of Pocket. I have added their bookmarklet to my browser toolbar. Whenever I found a good article and think worth to read I just made a click on it. It will safely landed on my Pocket. Visit your Pocket and you can either read the article within Pocket or visit the source URL to read it. In Pocket the interface is very nice. You can change the font size, back ground color etc. in Pocket to get cool reading experience. I find Pocket very useful. Do you?

Samsung Galaxy S III Launched – Features Availability and Image

Samsung has just unveiled Samsung Galaxy S III in a special event, Samsung Unpacked 2012, at Earl’s Court Convention center in London. Samsung’s new Galaxy S III boasts of having some supreme features in it. Samsung announced that their new Galaxy S III will be unveiled in 145 countries partnering with 296 mobile operators around the world. According to reports 3G version of this amazing smartphone will be available at the end of May. The launching of 3G version is expected to start from Europe. And regarding the 4G launch plan, it will be available in N. America, Japan and Korea during this summer.

Here is an awesome Tab Badge (add-on) for Firefox that provides you instant alerts on tabs when something new is happening on that page. No matter how many tabs you have opened. It alerts you right on each tabs. For example after installing this add-on sign in to Facebook, Twitter, Gmail on separate tabs. It shows you alert counts on each tabs that get updates when something new happens on that pages.

Every modern browser supports multiple tab browsing and Firefox has no exception. It gives you the freedom of opening many web pages on different tabs and keeps all of them opened. Unlike opening web pages on different Windows, tabs holds with in the single browser window and so it is easily manageable. Firefox just like other alternative browsers has added lots of tab management features to it. For example you can pin tabs (apps tabs), make tab groups etc. If you want to know more about Tab Management, here is an article written by me. I admit that I’m not a strong Firefox fan. I use Chrome regularly on Windows 7 and Firefox occasionally. But on Windows 8 I am using both IE 10 and Firefox. Do you know why? Unfortunately on Windows 8, in my case, Chrome often crashes but Firefox works smoothly. So I installed Firefox as an alternative to Chrome because I like add-on compatibility with browsers which is not supported by IE 10 Metro.

Max Payne 3 is coming for PlayStatioin3 and Xbox 360 on this May 15th. Rockstar Games has released Official Max Payne 3 TV Commercial on their YouTube channel. This TV commercial was premiered last night on ESPN. This Max Payne 3 official commercial is featuring some stunning moments from the game.

Max Payne, who is a former New York city detective, works as a private security guard for a wealthy Industrialist in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he fights with gangs who targeted his client. His employer’s wife has been kidnapped and Max fight to uncover the truth behind it.

The New iPad Release Date in India Confirmed

Are you waiting for the arrival of the New iPad in India? Then get ready. Your long wait has come to an end. As per the latest PR from Apple the release date of the New iPad in India is April 27. Last month Apple CEO, Tim Cook unveiled the New iPad to the whole world. Initially the new Apple tablet was released in few countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland, UK and the US Virgin Islands.

As per todays Apple PR this latest tablet from Apple will be available in more countries from April 20. The name of countries where the New iPad will be available beginning April 20 are South Korea, Brunei, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Malaysia, Panama, St Maarten, Uruguay and Venezuela. Beginning on April 27, the new iPad will be available in Colombia, Estonia, India, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, South Africa and Thailand.

Chrome Now Supports Tab Syncing

I am not sure tab syncing is the correct phrase to describe the new feature in Chrome. But Google announced a new feature to Google Chrome that enables Chrome users to access their open tabs in one device on another that also with tab’s back and forward navigation history. This Chrome Tab syncing feature is available in the latest Chrome Beta (19.0.1084.15 beta-m) version for both PC and Android. Google announced the same in a blog post today. This tab syncing feature will be available to the latest Chrome beta users in the coming days. I’ve just installed the latest Chrome Beta but could not find the feature on my New Tab page.

How to Sync Tabs Across Your Devices on Google Chrome

Install the latest Chrome Beta on your PC.
Make sure that you have signed into Chrome.
Open a new tab page and find the option “Other Devices” on the bottom of the page (this feature will be available to Beta channel users in coming weeks). Click “Other Devices”.

That’s all. The tabs will be available on Chrome on all your devices including your Phone. Android users need to install the latest Chrome Beta for Android to access synced Chrome tabs.
