Google Chrome and Google Drive Now Available for iOS

On Day 2 of Google I/O 2012, Google announced and accordingly made available two of their most sought out products to iOS users. Google Chrome browser and Google Drive Cloud Storage apps are now available for iOS and both are free.

Google Chrome for iPhone and iPad

Chrome is the only fastest and steadily growing desktop browser of recent times. Many people have switched from Firefox or IE to Chrome. It’s because Chrome is lightning fast and at the same time it offers lots of modern features to users. Google has released Chrome for Android ICS couple of weeks back. Now Chrome browser is available for iPhone and iPad with lots of features but using Apple’s rendering engine that may slow down it.

Google Drive for iPhone and iPad

Another interesting and one of the much awaited release is the Google Drive app for iOS. With this app iPhone or iPad users can now access their Google Drive files on the go. Some of iOS users may be reluctant or not using Google Drive due to the lack of an app for their mobile device. But it’s now solved. So they can use Google Drive now to upload their files and access them on the go using their iPhone or iPad. Don’t misunderstand that Google Drive is only for storing files. You can create as well as edid files on Google Drive using apps. Third party apps can be used for this purpose and Google’s on office suite Google Docs is built in to Drive.
