Google+ is getting more social with new Local feature. Now you can find the best restaurant, cafe and Bar in your nearby city on Google+ with this new feature. You simply need to search the City Name in the given field on Google+ Local. That’s all.
Google acquired ZAGAT in last September. At the time of the acquisiton Google clearly mentioned that “Zagat will be a cornerstone of our local offering”. That came true with the adding of new Local feature to Google+. It’s thrilling to see that Google is constantly improving Google+ with amazing features.
ZAGAT, founded by Tim and Nina Zagat more than 32 years back, had matured enough to provide people with a democratized, authentic and comprehensive view of where to eat, drink, stay, shop and play worldwide based on millions of reviews and ratings. No wonder you can now see ratings of hotels of your nearby city or any other city that you may not have heard so far on Google+. Thanks to ZAGAT score and valuable reviews by users.
Google has begun to roll out Google+ Local with ZAGAT score and user reviews on Google+. I could see a new Local button on the left side panel of my Google+ page. Click on it provided me information about where to stay and dine etc. in my near by city. I changed the Google+Local city because it shows information about my nearest metro. You can simply search for any city in the search field. I had searched for Kannur, that’s my nearest city and Google+ instantly brought useful information about restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels and entertainment opportunity in Kannur. That all with ratings, scores (wherever available), and Google Map. If you plan to find a best hotel click the name of the hotel and go through reviews and ZAGAT score. You can add your own review (of course after visiting the place) within this page. Great going Google.
