In a blog post Sony Mobile has just announced the latest ICS update plan. Android 4.0 ICS update for Xperia smartphone is coming. Sony has just announced the updated schedule of Ice Cream Sandwich update for Xperia NXT Series smartphones. If everything goes as planned you will begin to get update for your NXT series smartphone by the end of June starting with Xperia S. Then Xperia P will follow, whilst Xperia U will receive it a little later in Q3.
For the 2011 range of Smartphones Sony has already began the ICS software upgrade last month. The product included in the upgrade is Xperia arc S, Xperia ray and Xperia neo V. And for rest of the phones, i.e., Xperia arc, Xperia neo, Xperia mini, Xperia mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active and Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman will begin to receive their updates starting from next week.
But one sad news is that Xperia Play will not get this software update as the in house testing is said to be proved that this device is not stable, particularly for gaming, for ICS upgrade.
