Don’t underestimate that the popularity of Laptops are decreasing due to the ever increasing demands of tablets and smartphones. Laptops have its own unique features compared to tablets and smartphones. I think it is not necessary to mention what are the distinguishing factors of laptops and other mobile devices. I personally believe, in an office like working environment, laptop is a must to do regular job related activities. But I also realise that the difference between tablets and laptops are narrowing day by day. Tablets are easy to handle and convenient for frequent travellers. But what about modern laptops. They are also getting smarter by shredding additional weights. A fine example is Samsung’s New Series 9, 13 inch Notebook, the world’s thinnest and most compact laptop.
At CES 2012 in Lasvegas Samsung introduced an amazing laptop to the world. It is the second generation of Samsung’s New Series 9 Notebook. It is the world’s thinnest and most compact laptop as on today. The 12.9mm (0.5 inch) laptop weighing just 1.16 kg (2.56 lbs). This model comes in two screen sizes. Compared to last year the overall size of this model was reduced 30% while maintaining the screen size. Samsung achieved it by minimizing the bezel around the display.
