What is Hot in Twitter This Year (2011) Based on Tweets

Twitter’s active user count crossed 100 million in September this year. This active users include world leaders, athletes, humanitarians, entertainers, and reporters. Whenever an important event is happening at any part of the world, most probably it will be tweeted live on Twitter. One of the best example to it is the Abbottabad raid (secret) led by U.S. Navy SEALs.

Shohaib Athar, an Abbottabad resident, who saw Helicopters hovering above Abbottabad, which is unusual, tweeted the same. He tweeted Helicopter hovering above Abbottabad at 1AM (is a rare event). It was the raid in which Osama Bin Laden eliminated and Shohaib got lots of Media attention when the news about the raid broke out.

Twitter’s real time search results were once very useful for those who search on Google. Unfortunately it disappeared from Google searches due to the deal between Google and Twitter ended and Google began to concentrate more on its own social network, Google Plus.
