Ubislate 7 is the commercial version of world’s cheapest Android Tablet Aakash. Aakash, which unveiled in India few weeks back sold out just like hotcakes. Now pre-booking for Ubislate, its successor is started. As per the initial report the price of Ubislate may comes around Rs. 2,999.00 that inclusive of all taxes and duties. Ubislate comes with OS upgrade and some other spec bumps compared to its predecessor Aakash. The 7” tablet will run on Android 2.3 code named as Gingerbread instead of the Android 2.2 in Aakash.
The concept of releasing the commercial version of Aakash was already acknowledged by Suneet Singh Tuli, DataWind CEO. Their schedule was to launch the product in November. But reports suggests that the new tablet will only start shipping in India in January.
