Google Launched Flight Search

If you are an avid reader of techpack.org, you may remember that we have written an article regarding the presence of Flight Search on Google searches few months back. For instance, when you use search term “Flights from Mumbai to Dubai” on Google, you will be provided with flight information such as Airlines, number of non-stop flights, time taken, departure time etc. See the screenshot below.

Now Google launched a separate tool for flight searches at http://www.google.com/flights/. At present this tool enables you to search for economy class flights in the US but soon may be expanded to other countries. This search tool is the fruit of Google’s acquisition of search giant ITA and we can expect more travel tools from Google in future.
