How to Use Recuva to Recover Deleted Files

Install the program from here. It is very small in size. Then run the program. Just select the drive and choose the file type or type the path in the designated field and click scan. If you could not see the file you want to recover in the scanned list, opt for deep scan enabled when prompts. Enable deep scan option pops up soon after the completion of regular scan and unlike regular scan deep scan takes several minutes based on the drive capacity chosen. To recover files from the scanned list, select files, then right click and from the context menu select Recover (see the above screenshot).

How to Use Recuva to Permanently Remove Deleted Files

Follow the above scan procedure and then select the files you want to remove permanently. Select Secure Overwrite Highlighted from the context menu.
