Google has announced a new feature to Chrome – ‘Safe Downloads’. The new feature, which will be integrated to Chrome with its next stable version, displays a warning if a user attempts to download a suspected malicious executable file.
Google identifies malicious download URLs from the latest list of of malicious websites published by its Safe Browsing API.

This feature is now only available to the development versions of Google Chrome. If everything goes well, Google consider to integrate this feature to the next stable release of Google Chrome. (via)
