Tabs provide you the freedom to browse multiple sites at once with ease. Each new site appears as a new tab instead of new window and can be accessed in one click. But when too many tabs are opened, there are also some problems associated with it. You must know how to access your desired sites easily from the tabs opened, avoid double opening of sites etc. You can manage multiple tabs in Firefox easily. Firefox 4 provides you some awesome features to deal with tabs. Here we go.
a) Apps Tabs – Keep your favourite sites visible

You can turn any tab into an App Tab by right-clicking on it and selecting Pin as App Tab. By doing so the page title of the selected tab is hidden, means small favicon tabs are only visible and arranged on left side of all tabs one by one. To remove a tab from Apps Tabs right click on it and select Unpin Tab.
b) Switch to tab – To avoid duplicate tabs

Switch to tab feature can be used to avoid re-opening of the already opened sites. When you type an address, Firefox will check to see if you already have that site opened. Click on Switch to tab will direct you to the existing tab so you don’t open a duplicate.
c) Panorama – Tab Groups
![]()
Group tabs to thumbnail views for easy navigation of tabs and avoid tab clutter. Enter the Tab Groups view by clicking the List All Tabs button (Ctrl+Shift+E) at the far right side of the tab strip and selecting Tab Groups.
The first time you enter the Tab Groups view, you’ll see thumbnail previews of all of your tabs in one group.
You can make new groups by simply drag one tab out of the group and then drag a second one on top of it.
